It seems crowd funding can make quite a difference for a musician, but before starting a project many things need to be in place.. Great music, a great offer, and an appealing presentation. However, if someone is already quite famous, offering prizes like a private house concert, or a prize like "I'll cook you dinner for you and up to 3 guests" could have fans very interested in pledging much more. The more exciting a Kickstarter campaign, the more attention it will get, and ultimately more pledges.
