I think a band that got an opportunity to this kind of thing would be totally stoked - hell - I would have. Yes it's all about the music and the integrity and "everything" - but what a great way to get exposure - I'd never heard of them until they appeared in my rss stream - so long as the focus is on actually producing music - doing something is generally better than doing nothing.

That is a cool idea, but not for everybody. There is an easier way to get exposure for your music.
