Looking forward to it David.... I still may tweet about squirrels running up the tree out my window, post pictures of 18" Pez containers and warn against mindless consumerism, rejoice that I've finished a new song and link to a You Tube video of this past weekend's performance.

I kind of think of Twitter as a virtual water cooler, and Facebook as the modern equivalent of the golf course of the old boy network.

Can't wait for your perspective...

WIll

"red light" is almost as bad as people posting what they had for breakfast. ;)

David Hooper

Ha! Diet is actually going to be a very important part of this. You'll understand when I bring it all together next week. ;)

Vikki Flawith

I was going to take a picture of my desk and post it, but didn't want to freak anyone one.

Dana from Serious Vanity Music

Right on. Would love to add some of the like-minded followers around here (http://www.twitter.com/femmefrets is my locale-feel free to add me!).

Can't promise I won't occasionally post about zesty pickles or coffee though...we all have our rockstar vices. ;)

Lee Jarvis

Soooo right. You've got to HUSTLE and work your way to the top, not tweet what you had for lunch ;)

Dave King, Cross Harp Chronicles

Are people so vain as to believe that others will care about every minutiae of their private lives. Much of what is posted on Twitter (of for that matter any of the other micro-blogs_) is inane bable, and what floors me is who is posting what.

It has been suggested by people who profess to be social media/networking experts that we approach things as though we were at a party.

I suspect that if we were at a party and approached each other with the same 140 character lines, we would alienate others.

I suspect that within a few years we are going to look back at this passing fad and think to ourselves, "How could I have wasted so much time documenting every detail of my life?" And then awaken to the fact that every post is being indexed and archived by the search engines.
