Was thinking about this over the weekend. Know some guys who are getting into the music business, which you all know is a strange business to be in. Yes, business in business on some levels, but there are a lot of "standard" things which we do, which make no sense to others who are not within the industry.
Sometimes not knowing these things is a great way to come up with better ideas. One of the best examples I can think of is the guitar playing style of Chet Atkins. Not realizing that many of the records he was listening to were recorded with two guitars, he learned how to play both guitar parts at the same time.
